On Thursday summer evenings, Staw Wróbla in Gdańsk’s Jasień neighborhood will once again become one of the most unique spots on Gdańsk’s music scene! For the fourth time, this picturesque waterside setting will transform into an outdoor stage where the sounds of jazz, alternative, and experimental music will come together.
Starting August 7, a unique concert series will kick off that is sure to surprise every fan of sophisticated music. Raphael Rogiński will open the series with his project *Plays John Coltrane and Langston Hughes*—a personal reinterpretation of jazz and poetry legends in the spirit of blues, folk, and improvised music. On August 21, Dominik Strycharski, a master of experimental improvisation who breaks down the boundaries of sound and convention, will take the stage. On August 28, YANA will enchant the audience with an emotional blend of piano and electronics. On September 4, Andrzej Konieczny will take listeners on a journey into the world of film and theater music, and on September 11, for the finale, Rafał Iwański and his Transformations — the trance-like sounds of African lamellophones will merge with electronics, creating a hypnotic, organic atmosphere.

2025 PROGRAM
August 7: Raphael Rogiński plays Coltrane
Guitar reinterpretations of John Coltrane’s music. Raphael Rogiński revisits material from his iconic 2015 album, enriching it with new layers of improvisation and folk spirituality. It will be a concert brimming with jazz, blues, and raw emotional depth.
Raphael Rogiński—guitarist, improviser, and sound anthropologist. A co-founder of the new wave of Jewish music in Poland and leader of the bands Shofar, Wovoka, and Alte Zachen, he is known for blending traditional music with the avant-garde and mysticism.
August 21: Dominik Strycharski
Dominik Strycharski will present an original set combining electronic music, vocals, and recorders—a unique fusion of form and experimentation. His performance is a dynamic sonic journey that evolves with every moment, straddling the line between contemporary music and performance art.
Dominik Strycharski—composer, vocalist, flutist, and performer. Recipient of the “Polityka” Passport Award, composer of music for dozens of plays, films, and installations. One of Poland’s most important improvisers, a creator of unconventional sounds, and an educator.
August 28: YANA
Piano and electronics, darkness and light, emotion and space—YANA invites you on a dreamlike journey through the sounds of the album *Daydreamer*. This is a concert for those who want to immerse themselves in reflective and subtle music that straddles the line between ambient and neoclassical.
YANA (Joanna Bieńkowska) – a violinist and composer who combines classical instruments with modern electronics. In 2024, OPIA Community released her debut album, “Daydreamer,” which garnered significant media attention.
September 4: Andrzej Konieczny – Live Sound & Visual Experience
Film music, theater music, performance, and new technologies—Andrzej Konieczny creates an audiovisual performance in which sound harmonizes with movement and imagery. It is an emotional, intense, and multi-layered presentation of the artist’s unique artistic language.
Drummer, producer, and composer. Winner of three Fryderyk Awards (2024), member of the bands Łona/Konieczny/Krupa and Siema Ziemia. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (KABK) and the Academy of Music in Poznań. His music is heard on the most important festival stages in Poland and around the world.
September 11: Rafał Iwański
A hypnotic journey through the rhythms and sounds of African lamellophones combined with electronic music. Rafał Iwański will create a space of organic trance—inspired by John Cage’s philosophy, meditation, and experimentation.
Rafał Iwański (X-Navi:Et) – sound artist, ethnologist, and percussionist. Known for his projects ||ALA|MEDA||, HATI, and Innercity Ensemble. He combines traditional instruments from around the world with modern electronics, exploring the boundaries of perception and culture.
