The Wrzeszcz district is made up of wide thoroughfares and narrow streets, green enclaves that harmonize with diverse architectural styles, all of which shape the varied and multicultural stories of the people who live there. We invite children ages 7–11, along with their parents and guardians, to a series of 8 workshops during which we’ll get to know the place where we live better.
Through four themes related to the neighborhood, we aim to introduce young residents to the neighborhood where they live in an accessible and engaging way. During the classes, we’ll explore the architecture, nature, and life stories of famous women who have lived in Wrzeszcz.
The goal of the workshops is to share knowledge about the immediate surroundings, raise awareness of elements of local architecture, flora, and fauna, and introduce historical content to the youngest participants. We want to spark children’s interest in Wrzeszcz through play and teach them creative and critical thinking. The sessions aim to foster curiosity and raise awareness of how Gdańsk residents influence their surroundings. We are committed to inspiring a sense of local identity.

Our workshops are an original project developed by Natalia Koralewska; the workshop scripts were prepared by Dagmara Rejkowska, and the workshops are led by dedicated, passionate educators: Agnieszka Józefowicz and Joanna Raftopulos.
