This guidebook showcases the diverse architecture of one of Gdańsk’s oldest neighborhoods. Wrzeszcz is one of the few districts in Gdańsk that fortunately escaped major destruction during World War II. As a result, its architectural fabric has been largely preserved. The guide showcases Wrzeszcz’s most interesting buildings, ranging from late 19th-century villas and pre-war tenement houses to modernist public buildings from the interwar period and examples of Socialist Realist architecture.
